Handel Week Festival

From the Artistic Director

Warmest of WELCOMES to the Handel Week Family! We, the artists, board, volunteers and listeners here at Handel Week prize Baroque masterpieces of music and especially the music of Handel. We present world-class readings of music in an opulent acoustic, all in a room with tremendous sight lines! We surround these in-person and virtual concerts with informative lectures, fascinating program notes and festive receptions. We reach out to young singers to learn what it is to be a professional musician through our Wells Choral Scholar program and we engage young Conductors to hone their craft with our Mark and Randi Ravitts Woodworth Award for young conductors. Welcome to our website and read here about our upcoming musical offerings!
To Handel and his Music!

Newsletter #7 – New beginnings and a celebration of our 25th anniversary!

Our Handel Week family continues to move forward and grow! While recently we had to say auf wiedersehen to our dynamic Board President, Jeanne Busch, as well as to Dr. Ruth Meyer, who really helped us with our grant preparations, and Ellen Kuner, who served on the board for more than 14 years (!), each was an excellent board member and we thank them for their service! We have had the pleasure of welcoming board members Diana Sherry and Marianne Simpson to our team as well as introducing our excellent Board President, Alison Nelson. Welcome to the team! They are in place as we prepare for our 25th anniversary season featuring Water Music complete, Handel's recently discovered Gloria in excelsis, our wonderful chamber concert featuring Rosalind Lee, Soprano, and, wait for it, the Messiah! What a wonderful season is coming your way. You will hear details of all of this by the end of this Summer so STAY TUNED!!
